FS#2871 - Latest gnome-vfs pkg upgrade breaks Samba in Nautilus
|
Details
Today I did a 'pacman -Syu' to sync pacman and get upgrades
to the system. One of the upgrades was gnome-vfs-2.10.1-2
which required the removal of gnome-vfs-samba.
Once upgraded - Nautilus could no longer see or utilize samba shares. After forcing a downgrade back to gnome-vfs-2.10.1-1 and reinstalling gnome-vfs-samba, everything worked again. Nautilus could view and access samba shares throughout the network. |

Additional comments about closing: Seems -3 was the one that fixed this. -4 is coming to fix the http module crashes with kerberos.

What actually fails with gnome-vfs 2.10.1-2? At this moment I have
no samba servers near me, so I can't really test. If it's about
not able to enter smb:/// in nautilus, it's because of samba
missing on your system.
