Sometimes one just wants to skip a bump or minor version. Instead of having to manually watch the package and edit pacman.conf two times as root, it would be quite handy if a simple leading character added to a package's line would have yaourt permanently ignore it, without actually removing it from the list — say, an "I" for permanent ignoring, "R" until a higher pkgrel, and number until a higher version number part (e. g. in "0.2.999" 1 for 0, 3 for 999).

Is this a bug report for yaourt? yaourt is not an officially supported package, this is not the place to report issues / features with yaourt.
Why is it in 'Backend' category?
