Could you please add on pacman an automatic backup of the
previous kernel active, every time is necessary update
it?
Should be sufficient rename the old kernel: kernel26-old.img kernel26-fallback-old.img initramfs-linux-old.img initramfs-linux-fallback-old.img On this way, every time the new kernel present some problems, and don't work, the user could easy reuse the previouse kernel. Also, given that the name are fixed, except the first time, isn't necessary update grub2 each time. The inclusion of a similar functionality, totally transparent for the user, that don't need to change anything on the configuration file, should be something easy, while the impact, could be great, and appreciate for many users, every time happen big problems after a kernel update. Thanks for the effort make on this distro. Bye. |
