Clementine 1.0 should include support for Spotify, which isn't the case.
It is certainly due to libspotify being available only in AUR [1], not in community.

libspotify should become supported and this feature should be added.

I cannot use spotify (not available in Canada), so I do not want to support this package in [community]. If another TU is willing to support libspotify, then I will rebuild clementine for it.

Please try to rebuild with qca as suggested and let me know if spotify works.

I can confirm that spotify is available after compiling with qca (and without libspotify installed). Unfortunately it only works for premium accounts.

Thanks for trying it, I didn't really know how to do that.

It's normal that it works only with Premium accounts [1].

Being compiled with protobuf and qca isn't quite enough. qca-openssl also has to be installed so that installing the plugin in preferences works. So qca-openssl should be added either as a dependency or an optional one.

FTR : It is qca-ossl, not qca-openssl.
