Description:
After upgrading to the 3.1 kernel when turning off the monitor on a Lenovo y550p laptop (using function keys or leaving idle till power settings turn off monitor) results in a kernel panic. The same bug is also documented here, with appropriate pictures: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=748210 This is not related to hibernation or sleeping the machine, only with the monitor as far as i can tell. Additional info: Kernel: 3.1.1-ARCH (x86_64) Steps to reproduce: 1) Turn off monitor either through the function keys or by letting the system idle long enough for power settings to turn it off. 2) Attempt to turn the monitor back on. |

Also happens on x86. But it seems happen when turn on the monitor
but not turn it off.

And happens with 3.1.5? Try to contact kernel developers about
this issue
