Description:
Something i really dont like is when a crash happens and you are not able to open a bug report in case that you dont have any debug symbols.

That is also a ""problem"" in archlinux because the debug files are not in a seperate package. So in case of a crash in a very small application it can happen that you have to rebuild about 30 packages again with Debug symbols.

That will give you huge binaries and things like that.

Gentoo have a solution called "splitdebug" where the binaries are stripped, but the debug symbols arent thrown away. They get stored in a seperat directory and so you have small binaries (same size as before) but you have the debug symbols anyway.

So you can improve the software you use and not just use. In case that fixing bugs, reporting bugs and improve the software i use is very important for me, i would love to see this feature in pacman/makepkg too
