DetailsDescription:
3ware command line raid tool (tw_cli) for managing 9560SE raid cards segfault under Archlinux Kernel 3.0-ARCH (any 3.0.x version). Installation of tw_cli can be either from AUR or latest 3ware package. Additional info: * aur/tw_cli-9.5.3 * 3ware 10.2.1 codeset for Linux 64 bit Forum Article: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=129069 Steps to reproduce: Install aur/tw_cli on x86_64 system with Kernel 3.0-ARCH (3ware card does not have to be present) run tw_cli as root Program immediately segfaults Workaround: Use ABS to rebuild kernel changing: CONFIG_LOCALVERSION="-ARCH" to CONFIG_LOCALVERSION=".7" in kernel config file. Can the arch developers go back to the 3.x.y versioning/naming standard for the kernel to address this? |
