excuse me if I miss something here, but the bug does not seem to be fixed at all.
if you read through the posted upstream bug, "thelinuxfr" says at the end, that he updated the arch package and he posts a link to his PKGBUILD change. However, if you have a look at the most recent diff, his change got removed again:

http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/diff/?h=packages/network-manager-applet

this means that the bug still exists. I upgraded to the current package and it does not work, same errors and stuff just as expected.

it was removed because that line broke it in the first place.

pacman -Qs networkmanager

So you will release a new version, where it will work again (as you said here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=663193#c12 ?)

maybe you didn't understand correctly. It is released in network-manager-applet 0.9.1.95-2

oh right, I didn't. But now I do and the fix works, thanks :)
