Description:
The basic network daemon is great for computers with only one IP address, but a single wired interface can have multiple addresses and gateways (e.g. one of each for both IPv4 and IPv6). Maybe you consider that one should use netcfg for that, I apologize if this issue has already been debated.

I wrote a simple implementation that introduces the variables "addresses" and "gateways" while maintaining basic retro-compatibility with the current variables "address", "netmask", "broadcast" and "gateway".

i tought the implementation in initscripts is one to be as simple as possible

if one needs a more sofisticated network setup you should use:
- netcfg
- networkmanager
- (wicd)

tell me if i'm wrong

The proposed patch is very simple. I like netcfg on my laptop, I just don't feel the need for it on the server I wrote these patches for.

@changaco: thanks for your contribution. We have discussed the issue of what usecases to support a lot, and have decided (at least for the time being) not to support multiple addresses/gateways. The reason for this is not in the complexity of the implementation, but that we want to limit the number of usecases we have to test/support (and possibly port in the future).

Please use netcfg or networkmanager for anything more complicated.
