I noticed famd crashing constantly in gnome 2.10, which it didn't do on my lfs system. After applying the dnotify patch from BLFS, it's working perfect.

Please note that this patch patches Makefile.am and configure.ac, so the autocrap stuff has to be re-run after patching.

Well after letting alittle more time pass, this didn't stop fam from crashing. It did however fix the massive delay in directory contents being refreshed in nautilus. It's still well worth applying.
