Summary and Info:
makepkg uses file -bizL to determine whether to use bsdtar or something else to extract source files. It happens that it gives an incorrect output in certain cases: (file is available on ftp.archlinux.org/other/texlive/) texlive-science-2011.22648-src.zip: application/x-xz; charset=binary compressed-encoding=application/octet-stream; charset=binary; charset=binary causing makepkg to ignore this file, whereas bsdtar should be used there. Steps to Reproduce: Package versions used: pacman 3.5.2 file 5.07 |
