It's impractical to make these choices for all users. The kernel
does an okayish job at choosing sane defaults. At a quick glance,
some of those options are outright harmful (randomize_va_space is
and should be '2' by default.) or outdated. Need to fiddle with
tunables? Read the docs, test around - find out what works best
for you.

ktide: i guess you're right... bu maybe we can at least supply
some of those setting commented out with some brief description,
so users will know about the interesting tunables. i think that
archlinux have tradition of simple, well documented and
easy-to-understand configuration files... (while still being
vanilla)
