Details
Description: During installation, the hostname entered in
/etc/rc.conf is added automatically to /etc/hosts. However,
if I went back and changed the hostname in /etc/rc.conf, it
was appended to /etc/hosts instead of replacing the original
name.
Additional info: * package version: the /arc/setup script on the 2010.05-core-x86_64 image (whatever the aif version is there?) Steps to reproduce: I installed arch from the 2010.05-core-x86_64 iso image, running /arch/setup. Fill in the hostname in /etc/rc.conf. Go and look at /etc/hosts. Go back to /etc/rc.conf and change the hostname. Look again at /etc/hosts, where the hostname has now been appended. |
