Description: Well a few days ago i removed hal, and pacman
didn't complain about any package being dependent on it.
Today i started k3b and it complained about not being able
to find any optical drive. It started fine but it's useless

Here's the error message: No optical drive found. K3b did not find any optical device in your system. Solution: Make sure HAL daemon is running, it is used by K3b for finding devices. So, hal should be listed as a dependency for k3b. Additional info: * package version(s) K3b Version 2.0.2 Using KDE Development Platform 4.6.2 (4.6.2) Steps to reproduce: Remove hal from your system, start k3b and see the above mentioned error. |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: k3b needs dbus, not hal
