my kde 3.4 installation is completely hosed. :(

I removed kde with -Rd as you told me yesterday, and I reinstaled it. Well, it just doesn't work right. My kcontrol does not have ANYTHING in it (no modules), the kde menu only shows gnome's applications etc. I also have both a /opt/kde and a /opt/kde3 somehow, even after the uninstallation and re-installation.

HOW do I fix the thing properly? KDE is just hosed here after the upgrade!

eugenia this sounds after not logging out and loggin in again after pacman upgrade. the export stuff is reinitialized on login.
install again kde-common and logout and login and all is fine.
