I removed kde with -Rd as you told me yesterday, and I reinstaled it. Well, it just doesn't work right. My kcontrol does not have ANYTHING in it (no modules), the kde menu only shows gnome's applications etc. I also have both a /opt/kde and a /opt/kde3 somehow, even after the uninstallation and re-installation.
HOW do I fix the thing properly? KDE is just hosed here after the upgrade!
install again kde-common and logout and login and all is fine.
