Description:

Opening a mp3 file in after installing vlc-1.1.8-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz and selecting "Tools->Media Information" all fields are loaded and can be edited and saved back to the file.

After upgrading to vlc-1.1.8-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz the above is not true. Only artist and title fields are displayed and i cannot edit them.

It appears to have broken only in release 2 of this package.

did you diff the pkgbuilds?

-2 was a rebuild against new x264/ffmpeg. does vlc use ffmpeg for decoding mp3?
