Both libreoffice and openoffice crash when right clicking a
misspelled word.
Downgrading hunspell to version 1.2.12-1 seems to solve the problem. There is another report that the latest hunspell can also cause firefox to crash [1]. Firefox, thunderbird and pidgin work fine for me with the current hunspell, only {libre, open}office seem to be affected here. Package versions: hunspell 1.2.14-1 All other packages are up-to-date at the time of writing. Steps to reproduce: Open a new document in writer, set the language to English (USA), type picewise, the first letter should go uppercase and the word will be marked as misspelled. Right click on top of the misspelled word and writer should crash immediately. Starting {libre, open}office from the console does not provide any info. [1] https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/22463 |

I have also seen a few recent threads about spell checking crashing openoffice (more recent than 2011-01-06 when hunspell was updated in my system) and no one reported any bugs against either hunspell or {libre, open}office, as I can confirm it does not work for me, I did what everyone is told to do on the forums, report the bug.
Thanks for fixing it :)
