Today I performed a full update of the Arch system in my
laptop which among other changes resulted in updating the
kernel26 package from 2.6.36.2 to 2.6.36.3. After rebooting
a kernel panic was raised, trying the fallback config was no
use either.
So I formatted all of the partitions and performed a clean install (netinstall installing only the base group, grub2 as the bootloader installed in the MBR of the harddrive) and I ended up with the same results. My guess is that it has something to do with the latest kernel update but I don't have the knowledge to narrow it down. I have attached the lspci and lsusb outputs from inside the install disk as well as some photos of the screen in case they help locate the issue. |
