DetailsDescription: After upgrading to the latest testing mesa packages KDE desktop effects based on lanczos filter (taskbar thumbnails, present windows) become really slow and the whole desktop is unresponsive for a few seconds whenever one of this effects is used. At some point KDE detects the slowness and suspends compositing altogether. This was not the case with mesa 7.9 series packages where everything works flawlessly. .xsession-errors does not provide any useful info.
Additional info: * package version(s) intel-dri 7.9.99.git20101217-1 * hardware intel x4500 Steps to reproduce: Upgrade to pre-7.10 mesa packages from [testing] and login to KDE. |
