It says on the Go-oo website that:
"Go-oo shares much of its goals and philosophy with The Document Foundation's LibreOffice project, we're therefore supporting LibreOffice since it's inception, and are in the process of merging most of our patches over, as well as migrating to Document Foundation infrastructure. Going forward, the Go-oo project will be discontinued in favor of LibreOffice." So, I think it would be quite useful that the go-openoffice package has the replaced by option set as libreoffice. This would be useful because I recently did an updated and then go-openoffice wouldn't run, saying that "libicuuc.so.44 could not be found". After looking around, I discovered that I should replace go-openoffice with libreoffice, but it would be useful that pacman told me this. |

Reason for closing: Won't fix
Additional comments about closing: both projects are independent though they share most code of go-oo. reading mailing lists and forums can be expected from Arch users.
