Description:
freetype2 has a bug which causes poppler to miss some fonts in a pdf. It's been reported to poppler's bug tracker[1] and a dev reported it to freetype2 devs. A fix has been added in the freetype2's git repo[2]. I tried that patch and now okular correctly displays the missing mathematical characters. A pdf displaying the problem is available[3] (saddly only under subscription). I don't know exactly Arch's politics about that, but until a new freetype2 is released, could the patch be applied to Arch's package? Thanks Additional info: * package version(s) freetype2 2.4.4-1.1 poppler 0.14.5-1 kdegraphics-okular 4.5.4-1 [1] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32237 [2] http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/freetype/freetype2.git/commit/?id=396b11b840f84e8bff62f3c361d0b592e77ee703 [3] http://dx.doi.org/10.1002/(SICI)1098-2760(199711)16:4%3C249::AID-MOP15%3E3.0.CO;2-0 |
