Description:

I was just wondering, with the pending move of PA from Testing to Extra, can we get PA support on the standard mplayer package rather than using the current AUR package?

mplayer can use pulse using sdl

ao=sdl:pulse

That's what I presently do but I'd rather not go through an extra layer of abstraction unnecessarily, especially since PA is going to be moved to Extra soon.

Yeah i agree mplayer should have pulseaudio support now. It is an obvious choice since the last PA changes.
