I find it annoying that ldconfig takes so long on startup
is it really needed? I thought ldonfig is run by pacman on package upgrade? the cache shouldn't be changed if you didn't install something without pacman. I would suggest to add ldconfig on shutdown there it doesn't hurt or remove it completely from bootprocess. |
This task depends upon
decision:
- drop ldconfig from booting
- offer people to add it to rc.local
- announce it on the front-page
