Details

After upgrading to kernel26-2.6.35.3-1 and intel-537-2.60.80.0-68 system hangs during suspending.
The screen is blank, cursor i blinking on left-top corner. Keyboard is dead.

After downgrading to previous version ( kernel26 2.6.34.3-1 and intel-537 2.60.80.0-67) system works fine.

I use standard suspend setup, no additional configuration.


Steps to reproduce:

- upgrade packages to kernel26-2.6.35.3-1 and intel-537-2.60.80.0-68
- login to X server
- start some X console
- type "sudo pm-suspend" in to X console

I have the same problem on my HP ProBook 5310m laptop. I use x86_64 and no intel-537.

Have you tried to downgrade to packages I've shown ?

Yes, kernel26-2.6.34.3-1 works fine. I think this is unrelated to intel-537.

I have the same problems in my Thinkpad X200 since I updated to 2.6.35
The tip under http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=586674#51 works for me.

Mh really? I updated yesterday evening to 2.6.35.5 and tested it and there was the same problem again. I'll test this again today when I'm at home. But I don't really think it is fixed.

Ok you are right. After upgrading to 2.6.35.5 I suspended several times without problems, but now it hanged again.

Yeah, in the .35.7 changelog there is nothing related to this. So it's just like with .35.5 and .35.6: suspend works most of the time, but hangs every now and then.

The problem is back for me.
The screen is blank when I try pm-suspend or pm-hibernate.

After kernel upgrade to 2.6.35.7-1 and few tries of hibernate/suspend everything works fine for me.

I installed 2.6.36-3 from testing and the problem is finally fixed for me, yay.
