While the new revised package mozilla-firefox-1.0-2 PKGBUILD includes a patch to enable freetype2 support with freetype 2.1.8 or greater, the mozconfig included still has the --disable-freetype2 entry, which cause a firefox without freetype2 support compiled.

Freetype2 has to be disabled, since we use fontconfig for fontrendering, which uses freetype2 again ;)

Not a bug. It has always been this way since the 1st firefox PKGBUILD and mozconfig AFAIK.
