Summary and Info:
makepkg hangs while stripping .la files building udev. It builds fine when use makepkg from pacman 3.3 . for some reason this is the only package I've found that does this

my guess is that this is related to the new makpkg stripping features. I'll try and dig deeper when I have time and find the root cause with a possible a fix.

Steps to Reproduce:
pacman -V should say pacman 3.4.0
cp -a /var/abs/core/udev ~/
cd ~/udev && makepkg
