The PKGBUILD for git does not install gitweb.cgi. Without
it, however, git instaweb doesn't work. Generally speaking,
it would be nice if gitweb.cgi were available as a port of
this package.

With that said, we have already had bugs in the past saying this *shouldn't* be included. See
FS#14508.Regarding
FS#14508, you seem to misunderstood what that bug report was about. gitweb.cgi is the build product that's generated from gitweb.perl, and that is the script I'd like to have installed. Previous versions of the git package, however, installed gitweb.perl. That was a mistake, IMHO, and I reported that. Instead, gitweb.cgi should be installed. I still believe that this is the right thing to do.FS#19822after that.
