Description:
The status bar api changed on gtk+2.19.1. The gimp status bar is now broken. A fix has been made in git and has been backported to 2.6. The patch is attached for the package maintainer. Additional info: * package version(s) extra/gimp 2.6.8-3 Steps to reproduce: Open an image in gimp and notice there is no zoom dropdown menu on the status bar of the image window. *FIX* (from irc chat) nphilipp: you can point your distro maintainer to this patch which backports Mitch's fix in master to gimp-2-6: http://git.gnome.org/browse/gimp/patch/?id=501c4f65f08c111df0654cb887d95c2c06e82710 |

No data is ever displayed on the status bar, for example H&V pixel position when you have selected the rectangle selection tool. Or for example when you save an image, no progress bar is displayed.
Will try now the proposed patch.
