Details

Description:
By default, mkvtoolnix has optionnal depends with wxgtk. But, if this package is not installed, we are the following error message :
$ mkvinfo --help
mkvinfo: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_gtk2u_core-2.8.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The installation of wxgtk package resolve the problem.

i think is pretty clearly:

you are using mkvinfo

Actually, I also think the word "GUI" is a bit misleading since even the cli part of mkvinfo does not work without wxgtk. Maybe change it to

wxgtk: mmg and mkvinfo

(mmg is the mentioned "mkvmerge GUI"; mkvmerge is cli only)

mkvinfo is not used exclusively in GUI mode; the CLI is very useful as well, but won't work without wxgtk.
