Details

Description:

On an updated system with a nvidia GPU, xbmc crashes when starting a video playback that uses the vdpau nvidia API.

Recompiling the package with the flag

--disable-external-ffmpeg

instead of

--enable-external-ffmpeg

Fixes the issue.

Additional info:
* package version(s): 9.11-8


Steps to reproduce:

* install xbmc package
* add a directory containing a xvid video
* play a video
* xbmc crashes

Sorry for that, i can confirm xvid problem on x86_64, i thought it was working fine but it seems i've tested svn or i dont know what i tested

It seems like the xbmc-dev's have some patches in their internal ffmpeg which are not ( yet ) in the external ffmpeg, they also don't really support using external ffmpeg because of their internal changes
