With current versions of xorg/kernel/intel drivers as of today the display will randomly freeze after some time with the following errors flooding the xorg log: (EE) intel(0): Failed to submit batch buffer, expect rendering corruption or even a frozen display: Input/output error. I believe this is the same issue being discussed on the gentoo bugtracker here: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=301282 My current versions: local/xorg-server 1.7.3.902-1 local/kernel26 2.6.32.3-1 local/xf86-video-intel-newest 2.10.0-2 * * This also happens when using the stock driver in extra: extra/xf86-video-intel 2.9.1-1 My graphics: agpgart-intel 0000:00:00.0: Intel 945G Chipset 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82945G/GZ Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) |
