A known upstream Bug: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2907236&group_id=81535&atid=563254
I couldn't port the patch - appended to the upstream ticket - back to the current stable release yet.

I've downloaded xvidcap from http://sourceforge.net/projects/xvidcap/, applied the xextproto-7.1.1.patch and ./configure; make; make install. I have multiframe mode again.

So the problem may come from Arch packaging ?

Maybe we have a missing dependence because I built it in my clean chroot.

Okay I got it working, using the patch from the upstream tracker, simply adding ffmpeg as dependency and using the "--without-forced-embedded-ffmpeg" configure option. However recording audio streams does not work at all, not even the preferences are available.

Ok, I am updating it. Atsutane, do you want to maintain xvidcap in [community]?
