The above mirror hasn't synced since Sun Aug 30, 2009 (at time of writing, 119 days). Affects [core], [extra], [community] and [testing] repositories. an it be fixed or removed from the official mirror lists?

Posted on Official Arch forum and advised by Arch developer to file a bug report.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Check https://users.archlinux.de/~gerbra/mirrorcheck.html to confirm above.
2. Set /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist to use ftp://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/archlinux/ and attempt to update (pacman -Syyu) - no new packages are retrieved.

We need some kind of rule that removes a server from the official list whenever it hasn't synced within 21 days...

They should be contacted first. Maybe they changed their IP address and simply aren't able to sync from our server.

Current URLs don't work. I found that the new HTTP URL is http://mirror.pacific.net.au/pub1/linux/archlinux/ but FTP seems to be closed.
The mirror has not been updated since August, so it's not just URL change.
There is no contact email provided in our database (the mirror is probably one of the first, and perhaps we didn't collect emails at that time).
I wrote a message to techsupport.au@pacnet.com back when the mirror survey was conducted. Never got any response.
