Description:
xf86-input-synaptics 1.2.1-1 makes my laptop freeze after a few minutes. After feezing, my computer only responds to shutting off the power. Downgrading from 1.2.1-1 to 1.2.0-1 fixed the problem. I couldn't find anything in /var/log about the freeze. The rest of my software is up to date. I use a Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop with KDE. uname -a Linux J 2.6.31-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 10 19:01:40 CET 2009 x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T8300 @ 2.40GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux I'm don't know where to report this upstream. |

binutils-2.20-3 coreutils-8.2-1 xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.1-1
I got a freeze with binutils-2.20-3 and xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.1-1 downgraded, but not yet with coreutils-8.2-1 also downgraded.
I'm running latest packages(from testing + kdemod-testing), tryied to downgrade to .31 kernel or xf86-video-intel from extra, but didn't help.
This is truly an annoying bug as only restart helps and i cannot figure, what triggers it-sometimes it happens in 5mins, sometimes after few hours.
Will try to downgrade bin/core-utils too & see result.
Thank you and Merry Christmas to you all :o)
