Details
Description:
When installationg TrueCrypt through pacman, the software installs fine, but no *.application file is included in the package. The only way to run truecrypt is from the command-line. Other distros that include the truecrypt package, from what I've seen, include a *.application file in |/usr/share/applications|, while Arch does not. Additional info: version = 6.3-1 |pacman -Ql truecrypt| output: truecrypt /usr/ truecrypt /usr/bin/ truecrypt /usr/bin/truecrypt truecrypt /usr/share/ truecrypt /usr/share/licenses/ truecrypt /usr/share/licenses/truecrypt/ truecrypt /usr/share/licenses/truecrypt/License.txt (no files are places in /usr/share/applications) Steps to reproduce: pacman -S truecrypt Then try to find a TrueCrypt application item menu in your applications list, for whatever window manager you use. |
