I upgraded the system on 10/6/2004, which installed gnome-2.8
After the upgrade, gdesklets has stopped working. I get the following message:
[mbkamble@ausl-mbkamble ~]$ gdesklets start
connecting to daemon [### ]Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/opt/gnome/share/gdesklets/gdesklets-daemon", line 13, in ?
import gnome.ui
ImportError: No module named ui
Cannot establish connection to daemon : timeout

It seems that there is no ui.so file in /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gnome/
