DetailsI upgraded to the new 0.8 Thunderbird and can no longer view my emails. They've disappeared, despite the fact that the messages are apparently still there...I can tell because my inbox has "15" unread messages in it...

Other than that, try deleting your compreg.dat out of your .thunderbird directory.
the fix for me was to remove the file:
.thunderbird/default/???????.slt/compreg.dat
and then start thunderbird, to see it working in all it's glory.

and the problem went away.
I think this just must be a case of the profile not being compatible.
