Description: New install and installed latest hwd. Running hwd -u i get:

hwd -u
Testing: kernel (2.6.29-ARCH) supports uevents
Update pci-, usb.ids, and xorgtable.

this file is removed in latest usbutils package hwd needs to sync with wget this file, see usbutils PKGBUILD.

hm, thanx, but i don't understand. Maybe you are not supposed to run hwd -u. Could you not also take away that message from hwd? Is there any reason for all of this? Is it a security risk or is hwd buggy?

I have made my own conclusion - hwd is some kind or obsolete antiquity :-)

I like your description, hwd being ancient. :)
In next major release hwd will be moved to AUR, for live CD users, new linux users, and historical study of Arch Linux.
