Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  this is overcomplicating things.
it's easier to manually script adduser/addgroup commands if you want to create new users and such, and that approach gives you total control over what happens

I'm thinking code for this must exist already. maybe we can get a bash script from somewhere. I did some searching but couldn't find it immediately. Maybe you have more luck.

Btw did you code this? it looks quite advanced.

I tried looking for code but nothing that seemed usable etc. So I took the plunge, it seems to work. How do I go about getting this ready for AIF? How do you see this fitting in?

Well, I'm not sure if it's really worth it to design/implement/maintain a solution where the user defines what he wants in a specific format, we have to parse that format, and then execute some things (basically generate a new "format", eg like in /etc/passwd).

I think it may be better if we let users just do some commands (useradd -foo -bar) themselves.

This seems more useful for either custom automated installations or deployment on a large scale. Most arch installations, however, tend to be singe user.
