when i type pacman -Qtd it shows:
apache-ant 1.7.1-1 armstrong 0.2.6-1 automoc4 0.9.88-1 cmake 2.6.2-3 doxygen 1.5.7.1-1 imake 1.0.2-2 intltool 0.40.5-1 jdk 6u11-1 mercurial 1.1.2-1 ming 0.4.2-1 mxml 2.5-1 opera 9.63-1 pyphat 0.4.1-1 rpmextract 1.0-3 is for example opera, an unrequired package? it should not appear in the list right? |

but do you get the same problem?
There was something wrong about how you installed opera.
You can do : pacman -S --asexplicit opera <any other packages you want to keep>
