Detailsfirst, sorry for my english.
xfce4-panel should compile with --libexecdir=/usr/lib ( ${prefix}/lib ) instead of /usr/lib/xfce4 don't worry, the panel plugin will still be installed usr/lib/xfce4/panel-plugins/ doing this is for the /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libxfce4panel-1.0.pc, the libexecdir line. it may still cause some plugin installed in the /usr/lib/xfce4/xfce4/, such as gnome-globalmenu plugin in AUR, and almost all the plugin all have changed the option. here is the .pc of SVN version of xfce4-panel , compiled with --libexec=/usr/lib $ cat /usr/lib/pkgconfig/libxfce4panel-1.0.pc prefix=/usr exec_prefix=${prefix} datadir=${prefix}/share libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib includedir=${prefix}/include libexecdir=/usr/lib localedir=${prefix}/share/locale Name: libxfce4panel Description: Library for the Xfce Panel Requires: libxfce4util-1.0 libxfcegui4-1.0 Version: 4.5.99.1 Libs: -L${libdir} -lxfce4panel Cflags: -I${includedir}/xfce4/ |
