Description:
When using pacman -Su to upgrade system, when a dependency is not met, for exemple right now open-vm-tools cannot be installed with the new kernel26, pacman just exists. Lots of other packages are however installable, since they do not depend on open-vm-tools or kernel26, but they are not considered. However, they appear in the list of upgradable packages along with the uninstallable ones (pacman -Qu). It would be nice that pacman's upgrade installs packages that can be upgraded without problems when there is an unmet dependency on other packages. Instead of giving each package name from pacman -Qu to pacman -S. Thanks! |
