Description:
The cvs-1.11.23-3-i686 'cvs' command doesn't work (cvs-1.11.23-2-i686 is all right). When trying to run like 'cvs update', I get this: cvs [update aborted]: cannot exec rsh: No such file or directory cvs [update aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) Installing rsh (netkit-rsh) eliminates the above error, but it doesn't work either (it ends by timeout). Downgrading to older version of the package makes things OK. Additional info: * package version(s) cvs-1.11.23-3-i686 NOT OK cvs-1.11.23-2-i686 OK * config and/or log files etc. I don't know of any config files... Steps to reproduce: Install cvs-1.11.23-3-i686 and try to do something with your repo that requires connection to the server. |

1.11.23-3
I haven't done any hacking on that CVS setup there, so I don't know what might go wrong.
I attach the contents of the CVS subdirectory...
Is it working now ? Can we close this bug ?
However, I am not able to confirm anything since I have found a workaround (the project switched to SVN :-)
I had a similar problem. Downgrading didn't seem to work, but it turned out, in my case, that my CVS server wasn't happy with rsh. Using,
export CVS_RSH=ssh
got things running.
