With the new kernel from testing (version 2.6.28) my PS3 controllers (plugged in via USB) stopped working. With the old kernel they worked out of the box without any further configuration from me.

After plugging in there are following log messages in dmesg:
usb 4-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2
usb 4-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
input: Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller as /class/input/input7
sony 0003:054C:0268.0004: input,hiddev0,hidraw3: USB HID v1.11 Joystick [Sony PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-2/input0
sony: probe of 0003:054C:0268.0004 failed with error 17

I have 3 controllers (2 sixaxis, 1 dualshock 3) and none of them work. So I think (I hope!!) it's not a hardware failure.

OK, and if it is a kernel bug (I also think it is) what should I do then? Report it upstream? If yes, where is the right place for doing this?

Sorry for the questions, I don't write bug reports often :-)
