Description:
Trying to use overpic package from texlive-latexextra I get this error:

/opt/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/overpic/overpic.sty: File `epic.sty' not found.
/opt/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/overpic/overpic.sty:38: Emergency stop.
/opt/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/overpic/overpic.sty:38: leading text: ^^M

It seems that overpic depends on epic which is not included.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
texlive-latexextra 2007.2-1
This task depends upon

You should install texlive-pictures (or texlive-pictures-svn) and than you have it.

Thanks Attila; I confirm this works.

OK, I'll add texlive-pictures as an optional dependency to texlive-latexextra in the forthcoming release of TL2008

I got the same error while building "ghc". Installing "texlive-picture" fixes it.

What does it have to do with the Glasgow Haskell Compiler? Presumably for generating the documentation? Then texlive-pictures should be in makedepends: file a bug for ghc then!

Note that texlive-picture is an optional depend of texlive-latexextra, because I don't assume all users of texlive-latexextra necessarily need overpic.
I have now made that more explicit in the optdepends array.
