Details

Description:
Any audio application seems to fail with phonon choosing ESD as output plugin. Either, KDE and esd-0.2.39 are not compatible (with 0.2.38 it worked), or something else goes wrong.

The audio playback device Esound (ESD) does not work. Falling back to HDA Nvidia (AD198x Analog)

So it does work with previous version of esd? This might indicated that this is not a phonon problem.

It works with previews esd versions (as I wrote 0.2.38 it worked perfectly, downgrading did also work).

As I said, I'm not sure where this problem is located. I'm quite sure It's a phonon problem, since other applications run fine with esd. Could be a upstream bug.
