Details
Description: When 'netcfg2 -a' is issued, it does not bring
down the interface associated with the profile. This is true
when issued manually, or through the net-profile daemon.
This has the side effect of causing a hard freeze while
loading the BIOS when soft booting on my system.
Workaround: 1) This can be fixed by adding 'ifconfig ath0 down' after '/usr/bin/netcfg2 -a' in rc.d/net-profiles. 2) Oddly enough (to me, anyway), it doesn't work if 'ifconfig ath0 down' is issued before 'netcfg2 -a' 3) It does, however, work if 'netcfg2 -a' is issued again after 'netcfg -a; ifconfig ath0 down' 3a) this allows the fix to be made in rc.local.shutdown There are no errors at any time. netcfg 2.06-1 I'm only able to attempt this on one system, unfortunately. But it may be related to |
