Description:
This may be related to bug #10843, but this has nothing to do with VirtualBox. The recent xf86-video-vesa update (2.0.0-1 ) has caused Xorg to hang upon initialization, displaying a black screen with a frozen cursor in the top left corner. CTRL-ALT-F1-F9 and C-A-Backspace are unresponsive, however C-A-Del does reboot as expected. I have tried this with and without a xorg.conf present. Additional info: * xf86-video-vesa (2.0.0-1) * Graphics card is an S3 Savage * xorg.conf: http://pastebin.com/m10b2cf3d * Xorg.0.log: http://pastebin.com/m5075a18f Steps to reproduce: Upgrade to xf86-video-vesa and execute 'startx' |
