Since i upgraded to kernel 2.6.25.4 (from 2.6.24), I'm
experiencing a lot of performance troubles, I think combined
with X / OpenGL / Composite.
The computer / windows seem to "freeze", to wake up seconds later again (about 2-3 secs, annoying anyway). This could be an upstream bug also, but I couldn't find an appropriate upstream bug report for this. What I'd be interested is closer information on this topic, what did change in arch (except the kernel version) - e.g. in the kernel configuration? Does anyone have a hint about what changed in the 2.6.25 kernel which could cause this problems? Package Version(s): - nvidia 173.14.05-1 as well as nvidia-169.12-4 - kernel 2.6.25.4 - xorg-server 1.4.0.90-13 (xorg) Solving the Problem: Downgrading: - Kernel to 2.6.24.4-1 - nvidia-169.12-2 (rev 356), self compiled since i couldn't find an old package around. // STi |
